What to expect in your first session

Prior to your massage, you will be asked to fill out a personal health history form. This information will be kept confidential and is designed to help the therapist to understand your physical condition prior to the beginning of the massage. A postural assessment will be done in order to formulate a safe and effective treatment plan.

Setting of the massage:

In a standard massage session, you will be draped with a sheet. You would be asked to undress down to your level of comfort. Only the area being worked on would be undraped. Please advise the therapist if there is any area that you would like to be avoided. Pillows will be used for your comfort. Modifications of treatment may be made according to your clinical presentation.

Hydrotherapy in the form of a thermophore may be used to prepare tissues for deep work unless there is contraindication presence. Hypoallergenic massage gel, oil or lotion will be used. Please inform the therapist of any known allergies that you may have.
